DMCA Takedown Process for EbonyVault
EbonyVault (ebonyvault.com) follows the DMCA rules under 17 U.S.C. § 512 for removing content listings.
What We Do
EbonyVault only lists and embeds videos hosted on other sites. When a takedown happens here, we remove the listing from ebonyvault.com. The actual video stays on the host site, which has its own removal process.
How to Send a Notice
Send your takedown notice to our Copyright Agent using the contact form at contact page.
What Your Notice Must Include
- The URL(s) of the listing(s) you want removed
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed
- Your contact information
- A statement made in good faith that the use is unauthorized
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner
- Your physical or electronic signature
How We Handle Notices
We review complete notices and act on them within a few business days. If your notice is missing information, we’ll tell you what’s needed. We accept counter-notices under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g). If a source repeatedly causes valid takedown requests, we remove it from our index.
